Bogor Regency Government allocates 1.5 billion rupiah to each village for development - ANTARA News Megapolitan
Bogor (ANTARA) - Bogor Regency Government, West Java, provide infrastructure funding with total 1.5 billion rupiah to each village in 2026 to boost community-based development.
Head of Bogor Regency, Rudy Susmanto at Gunung Putri, says the local government provided this funding to give villages more flexibility in determining their development priorities.
“These programs must be ones that the community actual needs. They should originate in the villages,” says Rudy.
In 2026, Bogor Regency Government allocated 1.5 billion rupiah in infrastructure funding to each of 416 villages and 19 urban villages.
According to Rudy, regional development cannot rely entirely on a top-down approach, because each region has its own problems, potential and needs.
Bogor Regency covers a large area with a diverse population, therefore village government are considered to have a better understanding of the development needs in their respective areas.
Rudy says that Gunung Putri village was an example where the village government had developed the area through collaboration with various segment of the community.
He appreciated the Village Head of Gunung Putri, Daman Huri and his staff, who were recognized for their ability to mobilize various community groups to participate in regional development.
“Together with the entire Gunung Putri Village Government, they build Gunung Putri village not just with their energy, not just with their time and not just with their minds, but their build Gunung Putri village with their hearts,” says Rudy.
Rudy hopes that the innovations and collaborative efforts initiated by the village government will strengthen the village sustainability and at the same time, contribute to achieving Bogor Regency development goals.
