Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Riana Sinar Jaya's products, MSMEs in Mentewe Sub-district, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan, have penetrated the domestic market and even the international market, especially in Malaysia.


"The products we send abroad include taro chips, breadfruit chips, cassava chips, banana chips, and rengginang," said Feriana, a member of Riana Sinar Jaya in Batulicin, Monday.

Shipping goods using expedition services because of time efficiency, wide range, and ease of tracking. This service makes the process of sending packages much more practical and safer.

For the needs of the domestic market, Riana sends its products to souvenir centers in Tabalong Regency, Tanah Bumbu, Market GS, Mentari, Zayn, PT Arutmin, Jakarta, Riau, Bandung, Surabaya, Jembar, Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru, East Kalimantan and West Kalimantan, with a total turnover of Rp5 million per month.

"This partnership is mutually beneficial, farmers have market certainty to sell their crops, and MSMEs are no longer difficult to find raw materials for processed foods production," she said.

However, the current challenge is the lack of taro raw materials, so MSME actors must look to other areas.

"We want to invite young people to be more productive by creating jobs, through business. The point is dare to try, exploit the existing potential, look for opportunities for people's needs that have not been met optimally," explained Feriana.

Tanah Bumbu Regent Andi Rudi Latif through the head of Trade and Metrology at the Cooperative, Micro-Business, Trade and Industry Office Hendro Satria Rakhmatullah, expressed his appreciation for the hard work, perseverance, and creativity of MSME actors.

"To support the progress of MSMEs in Tanah Bumbu, the local government has prepared an interest-free capital loan program for MSME actors. This policy is to provide access to lighter capital while reducing people's dependence on online loans," he concluded.
